Would This Be A Good Idea For A Novel?

I want to write a novel.This is one of my ideas that is at the top of the list. "A group of 4 or 5 people, go to the amazon, but their plane crashes, and they are stranded in the jungle.The book is written Diary style from the point of view of one of the survivors.By the time they get out of the jungle, the world has Been Abandoned/Zombies/Aliens/or the world's population has died from a disease."Would you read it?
