If I've played Fallout 3 and Oblivion and Black Ops, can I handle Red Dead Redemption?

Hello, I'm 15, moderately mature for my age, and I'm a gamer. I've always respected ratings and I've only recently gotten in too playing rated M games. I always do my research before asking my parent's permission to buy a game, and I'm very interested in playing Red Dead Redemption, as it's one many "Game of The Year" awards. I've played the games listed above and have had a brief experience playing Grand Theft Auto IV at a friend's house. So I'm just asking for an answer from someone who's played the game. If not, what do you think of Just Cause 2?
